Luttrell Psalter
Psalm 46; Circumcision of Christ, [Whole folio] End of Psalm 45. Psalm 46 beginning with initial 'O', King David crowned, with a group of seven men facing him and applauding. Border decoration with a bird grotesque in the outer margin. In the lower margin, a bearded man with a golden knife grabs the infant Christ, who is in the arms of the Virgin, who wears a triangular wimple. Beside them are two men, one of whom drinks from a golden chalice, perhaps signifiying the Eucharist Image taken from Luttrell Psalter.
