Luttrell Psalter
Psalm 7; wild boar, [Whole folio] Psalm7. Grotesque line-fillers including a serpent, snail, hedgehog or porcupine, and a ferret chasing a rabbit down a hole. Border decoration; in the lower margin a tusked wild boar approaches a foliate spray, seeking pannage. The trilobe buds that feed it, and a robin that perches above, symbolise the Trinity Image taken from Luttrell Psalter. Originally published/produced in England [East Anglia]; circa 1325-1335.
