Food preparation for the Sultan Ghiyath al-Din. The small inscription appears to be 'madab, ' feast or entertainment. Again a garden pavilion with typical Mandu architecture of a tower topped by a small dome. Opaque watercolour. Sultanate style.Ghiyath Shahi is wearing informal clothes, seated on cushions with the usual attendants holding dishes. A female cook kneels by the stove in the foreground, to the left of a large pool or cascade. The section is concerned with bread-making. Image taken from The Ni'matnama-i Nasir al-Din Shah. A manuscript on Indian cookery and the preparation of sweetmeats, spices etc. Originally published/produced in 1495 - 1505.
