The dying Rustam
The dying Rustam, The dying Rustam shoots his treacherous brother Shaghad. A very unusual treatment of the subject: four pits are shown, bristling with blades. Rustam appears in one of them down to the waist, but Rakhsh is not visible. 11 by 15 cm. Opaque watercolour. Bukhara style. Originally published/produced in 1600.
