'Portrait of Marie-Adelaide of Savoy', 1697. The eldest daughter of Victor Amadeus II, Duke of Savoy, and Anne Marie of Orleans, Marie Adelaide of Savoy (1685-1712) was betrothed to Louis, Duke of Burgundy, Dauphin of France, in 1696 under the terms of the Treaty of Turin. Both she and her husband died of measles in 1712. Their youngest son was King Louis XV of France. Found in the collection of the State A Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow.
