Seal of Edward III, [Obverse of seal] Impression of the Seventh Seal of King Edward III. In the centre, the king is seated under a carved canopy, with a crown, and holding an orb and sceptre. At his side, are small figures of the Virgin and Child, and St George with shield, and two lions. On either side is a large niche with a branching tree over a shield of arms of France and England, and a figure of a man in armour. From a royal licence relating to the manors of Tumby and Tattershall, co. Linc, 1364 Originally published/produced in England; 1364.
