Dining room of the Kasbah Taourirt, Ouarzazate province, Morocco. This room in the Glaoua apartments is decorated with carved and painted stucco and cedar wood. In the 19th century this earthen fortified city was the largest residence of Thami el Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech, and housed the second tier of the Glaoua family command, including sons, servants and craftsmen. It is situated on an ancient caravan route from the Sahara to Marrakech.
