The tombs, near the Kasbah mosque, date from the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur, 1578-1603, and contain the mausoleums of members of the Saadi dynasty. The hall of the twelve columns contains the tomb of the Sultan's son Ahmad al-Mansur and contains a stele carved from cedar wood and worked with stucco. The monuments are of Italian Carrara marble and the walls are covered in glazed tiles and carved Koranic verses.
