Psalm 30; St Augustine of Hippo, [Whole folio] Psalm 30. Grotesque line-fillers, including a hooded figure playing a double pipe. In the upper margin, a bird grotesque with human head. In the outer margin, a grotesque with a bearded king's head, wearing a bird-crested crown, with beast's clove-hoofed hindquarters. Below, another with the upper body of a youth prising apart the jaws of the beast coming out beneath his tunic. In the lower margin, an abbot, probably St Augustine, in a black and white habit, and holding a jewelled crozier Image taken from Luttrell Psalter. Originally published/produced in England [East Anglia]; circa 1325-1335.
