Hanuman returns the mountain peak
Hanuman returns the mountain peak, Various demons try to prevent Hanuman from taking the mountain peak back to the Himalayas, but he beats them off and some fall to earth. Rama and his allies look on, and likewise from his palace window does Ravana, who appears at the jharokha (viewing gallery), the sill spread with a rich cloth, while his courtiers below raise their hands to salute him. Image taken from Ramayana, Yuddha Kanda. Originally published/produced in Udaipur, 1652.
