Laksmana recovers from his wounds
Laksmana recovers from his wounds, Hanuman lands with his mountain peak just outside the walls of Lanka and various monkeys start to explore it. Vibhisana seems to be making a herbal poultice, while Susena crushes a magical healing herb under Laksmana's nose, which cures him miraculously. Laksmana arises and he and Rama embrace. Rama tells him that neither Sita, nor victory, nor life itself would hold any meaning for him without his brother, but Laksmana reproves him: it is his duty is to slay Ravana that very day and recover his wife. Demons run to tell Ravana in his palace of Hanuman's arrival. Image taken from Ramayana, Yuddha Kanda. Originally published/produced in Udaipur, 1652.
