Laksmana returns victorious to Rama
Laksmana returns victorious to Rama, Abandoning the bloody scene of the battle with its heaps of dead beside Indrajit's place of sacrifice, Hanuman and Vibhisana support the wounded Laksmana as they return to Rama. Rama receives his brother with great joy, seats him tenderly on his lap and lovingly smells his head. His wounds are healed by the herb that the monkeys' doctor Susena places beneath his nostrils, as all around monkeys rejoice. Image taken from Ramayana, Yuddha Kanda.
