The Park at Enghien
The Park at Enghien (ca. 1685). The scene above shows the green fountain and colosseum at the far north-east, viewed from the north, with the rest of the gardens in the distance, including the large hedge in the form of a screen which is seen at closer quarters in the lower print. The lower print looks across the large reservoir, with the kitchen garden and pavilion of Samson to the left and the herb garden to the right. Image taken from: A Collection of 86 plans and views of The Hague. Published in Amsterdam, 1718. Illustrated by Romeyn de Hooghe.
