Three genii relief, Housesteads Fort, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland, c2012. This relief of three 'genii cucullati' (hooded deities) was discovered in a domestic shrine in the civilian settlement outside the fort. Wrapped up against the cold northern winds, the 'hooded ones' wear thick woollen capes which were exported from Britain.
