The Spanish Order of St. Hermenegildo'. The Royal and Military Order of Saint Hermenegild was established by Ferdinand VII of Spain (1784-1833) in 1814. The badge of the order is a gold and white Maltese cross with above a royal crown. The central medallion features the image of St. Hermenegild on a horseback, boarded by a blue ring with the inscription PREMIO A LA CONSTANCIA MILITAR (reward for long military service). On the reverse there is the royal cypher of Fernando VII.
