The original RMS 'Mauretania' in the floating dry dock, Southampton, Hampshire, 1933. Designed by Leonard Peskett and built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson for the Cunard Line, 'Mauretania' was launched in September 1907. Her final Atlantic crossing from New York to Southampton was in 1934 and she departed for the shipbreakers in 1935.
