Goodrich Castle, late 13th century, (c1960s). The castle from the south as it may have appeared when newly completed at the end of the 13th century. Reconstruction drawing, 1959. Norman medieval castle situated to the north of the village of Goodrich in Herefordshire, England, controlling a key location between Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, expanded significantly during the late 13th century into a concentric structure combining luxurious living quarters with extensive defences.
