Iron sword corroded inside a decorated bronze scabbard (The Wittenham Sword), mid 1st century BC (71-30 BC). La Tene sword (The Wittenham Sword); corroded inside the scabbard; X-rays show that the sword is about 5 cm shorter than the scabbard; it appears that the sword was damaged and reforged in antiquity; probably belonged to a warrior of high importance. Dimensions: length: 80 cm
