Glazed brick tiling in Shah-i-Zinda Complex, Samarkand, 14th-15th century. This was the burial place of most of the Timurid princes. An older shrine on the site is said to be the burial place of the Prophet's cousin Kusam ibn Abbas who brought Islam to the region in 676.
