Chester Castle, Cheshire, 1920. Aerial view. The forecourt complex at Chester Castle was entirely rebuilt between 1788 and 1822 by Thomas Harrison in the Neo-Classical style. A new prison was also constructed within the castle proper. Parts of the medieval castle survive including the Agricola Tower and the curtain walls.
