Church of St. Magnus, 12th century, Isle of Egilsay, Orkney, Scotland, 20th century. A 12th century Irish style round tower, rare in Scotland, and unique in Orkney. Built in 1117, where St. Magnus was martyred by an axe blow to the head. While the church is dedicated to him, the foundation may be far older.
