Nikolay Gumilyov, Russian poet, c1910-c1921. Gumilyov (1886-1921) was one of the leading members of the movement known as Acmeism which emerged in Russian poetry in 1910. He was executed in 1921 by the Bolshevik authorities on suspicion of involvement in a monarchist plot. Found in the collection of the State Museum of AS Pushkin, Moscow.
