Tsar Nicholas II at a parade before the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Moscow, Russia, 1912. The cathedral was begun in 1839 and was consecrated on 26 May 1883, the day of the coronation of Tsar Alexander III, Nicholas' father. At the top of the steps is the monument to Alexander, which was unveiled in 1912. The parade is possibly part of the ceremony of its unveiling. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
