New Boat House, Oxford, 1880. Design for a Victorian half-timbered boat house for the university of Oxford Boat Club, designed by John Oldrid Scott (1841-1913), son of architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. The finished building was altered slightly as the original design was thought too grand. It was destroyed by arson in 1999. Published in The Building News, July 16th 1880.
