'Portrait of the Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna', c1822(?). Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia (1786-1859) was the third daughter of Tsar Paul I of Russia and Maria Feodorovna. In 1804 she married Charles Frederick, Hereditary Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. Their second daughter, Augusta, was the first Empress of Germany, as the consort of Kaiser Wilhelm I. Detail.
