Battle of Majuba Hill, 1st Boer War, 26-27 February 1881. British troops under Major-General George Colley took Majuba Hill. The Boers counterattacked, taking the British by surprise. Colley was one of the 93 British soldiers killed. 133 British were wounded and the Boers took 58 prisoners. Drawing based on notes by eyewitnesses.
