Adrien Baltyn at his writing desk, from Traicté de l'antiquité et preeminence des maisons d'Habsbourg et d'Austrice, by author Adrien Baltyn (1546-1623). Probably Brussels, Belgium, c.1616. This manuscript consists in an account of the Habsburg family addressed to Albert VII, Archduke of Austria and his wife Isabella Clara Eugenie, joint rulers of the Spanish Netherlands after their marriage in 1599, from 440 BC to the early 17th century.
