Facade of a water cistern, bearing the arms of Henry VII and his wife Elizabeth of York, the initials HR and ER (possibly Edward VI) and the royal motto: DIEU ET MON DROIT Surrey-Hampshire border, England, ca. 1530. This is probably the only hot water cistern to survive from the Tudor period. White earthenware, moulded with copper-green lead glaze. Inv. C.85-1933.
