Salon de la Reine, with displays of the collections of the Musee de Saumur, including ceramics, furniture and tapestries, in the Chateau de Saumur, in Saumur, Maine-et-Loire, France. A castle was first built here at the confluence of the Loire and Thouet rivers under Thibaud I, Count of Blois, in the 10th century. It was then owned by the Dukes of Anjou and added to many times, including the star shaped fortifications in the 16th century, designed by Bartholomeo.
