Capital and ceiling of the Salle des Etats Generaux, the counts' justice hall, built 1214 in Gothic style under Thibaut VI count of Blois, with repainted oak frame and ceiling 1861-66 by Felix Duban, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. This was the Hall of the Estates General 1576-88 and was restored 2006-7. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircases and is listed as a historic monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
