Chambre de la Parade, or Parade Room, with wall paintings by Pietro Ricchi, 1606-75, inspired by the engravings of Goltzius of 1585, at the Chateau de Flecheres, built 1610-16 by Jean de Seve, in Dombes, Fareins, Ain, France. The paintings celebrate the parade organised by Jean de Seve for the entry of king Henri IV into Lyon in 1595, with a drummer, standard bearer and halberdier. The chateau was built on an earlier 12th century fortress and is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
