St Peter Martyr Enjoining Silence, depicting St Peter Martyr or St Peter of Verona holding a finger to his lips, Renaissance fresco by Fra Angelico, 1395-1455, in the Convento San Marco, now the Museo di San Marco, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The painting was restored in 1954 by Leonetto Tintori and in 2012 by Bartolomeo Ciccone. St Peter's martyrdom in 1252 is depicted by a knife in his back and a wound in his skull.
