Sanctuary of Aglauros, daughter of the Athenian king Cecrops, where young men of military age swore an oath to Aglauros as well as to Zeus and other gods, the largest cave in the city (22m long, mouth 14m), on the East slope of the Acropolis, in Athens, Greece. The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel site raised above the city, developed by Pericles in the 5th century BC, with the addition of the Parthenon, Propylaia, Erechtheion and Temple of Athena Nike.
