Statue of the baptism of Clovis by St Remi in Reims in 496 AD, by Daphne du Barry, commissioned by Champagne Louis Roederer on the 15th centenary of the event in 1996, outside the South Portal of the Basilique Saint Remi or Abbey of St Remi, Reims, France. The 11th century, mainly Romanesque, church, contains the relics of St Remi, the Bishop of Reims, who converted Clovis, the King of the Franks, to Christianity.
