Nave and apse of the Romanesque abbey church of Fontevraud Abbey, Fontevraud-l'Abbaye, Loire Valley, Maine-et-Loire, France, with the 12th century effigies of Henry II, 1133-89, Plantagenet King of England and his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine 1122-1204 (foreground) and of King Richard I the Lionheart (reigned 1189-99) and Isabelle d'Angouleme (behind).
