Carved eagle on the capital of a column in the crypt, Basilica di San Zeno, 10th-14th centuries, Verona, Italy. This Romanesque church which forms the pattern for Verona's Romanesque style was constructed in 967 but damaged by an earthquake in 1117 and restored and enlarged from 1138 to 1398.
