Statue of Juliet, 1960s, by Nereo Constantini, Juliet's House, Verona, Italy, with the 1930s balcony in the background. The romantic bronze statue dedicated to the young girl stands in the inner courtyard of her supposed house. Shakespeare's play 'Romeo and Juliet' is based around two feuding 14th century Veronese families. In the 1930s a balcony was added to this 14th century house which was opened to the public as 'Juliet's House'.
