A fragment of an Latin inscription, carved in stone and lit by the early morning light, perches on a wall of massive stones amongst the ruins of Corinth. Founded in Neolithic times, Corinth was a major Ancient Greek city, until it was razed by the Romans in 146 BC. Rebuilt a century later it was destroyed by an earthquake in Byzantine times.
