Triton, Fontana del Moro (detail) (Fountain of the Moor), 1575, Giacomo della Porto, Piazza Navona, Rome, Italy. The fountain has statues of four Tritons and the basin is made of special antique rose marble. In 1673, Gian Lorenzo Bernini added the central statue of a Moor wrestling with a dolphin. In 1874, the original sculptures were moved to the Villa Borghese and substitute copies were made for the fountain.
