The church is one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture, known for its murals, which were removed to the MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia, Barcelona) in 1922. Sant Climent de Taull is part of the Catalan Romanesque churches of the Vall de Boi which were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in November 2000. .
