The Comitium, Pompeii, Roman, Italy. On the South East side of the Forum, The Comitium was where the Pompeiians voted in elections. It was severely damaged in the earthquake of 62 AD. Pompeii was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
