painted the half-length figure of an evangelist;Matthew at
the top,Mark left, Luke right, John bottom.Every one has a
gold nimbus and holds in his left hand,against his chest, a closed codex. All are shown in frontal pose.Origin perhaps
Aleppo,Syria.
