knucklebones up in the air and try to catch as many as possible in one hand as they fall. The "knucklebones" were in fact anklebones of sheep or goats, or models made of ivory, bronze or terracotta. Probably from Taranto (Puglia) in Apulia,Italy.           GR, 1867.5-10.(TER)
