The exiles make the required offerings
The exiles make the required offerings, Prior to taking up their abode in the hut, oblations have to be made to the presiding deities. Laksmana hunts for deer on Rama's instructions and cooks the venison completely through. Rama then makes the sacrificial offerings. Afterwards the two brothers eat, while Sita waves the flies off, and she then retires to the hut to eat her own meal. There the three dwell in the forest in peace.
