The exiles cross the Jumna
The exiles cross the Jumna, Having spent the night in his hermitage, in the morning Bharadvaja points them on their way. They cross the Jumna on an improvised raft, with Sita praying again to the goddess of the river for a safe return, and find the great banyan tree that the sage Bharadvaja had told them about. Sita prays to it also for a safe return to Ayodhya while Rama plucks its fruits. A few miles farther on, having hunted for deer, Laksmana again cooks the meat on skewers and they prepare to spend the night there. Image taken from Ramayana, Ayodhya Kanda.
