The death of Duke Leopold of Brunswick during a flood in Brunswick, Germany, 1785. Leopold of Brunswick-Wolfenb?ttel (1752-1785) was a Prussian general. He was drowned when the boat carrying him across the flooded River Oder capsized. Found in the collection of the State A Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow.
