Entered according to Act of Congress in the year of 1868 by Joseph B. Smith & Co. in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern Distrct of New York. The edifice was erected 1768 on Golden Hill (now John Street) City of New York, was taken down & rebuilt 1817 & re-rebuilt 1861.
