Notice of the arrival of Boer prisoners of war on the 'Milwaukee', St Helena, 5th April 1900. Some 6000 captured Boers were transported to the island of St Helena by the British during the Boer War. Amongst their number was General Piet Cronje, captured at the Battle of Paardeberg on 27th February 1900.
