Ghiyath al-Din enthroned with attendants, from the Ni'matnama-i Nasir al-Din Shah. Preparation of samosas and 'las'. The small inscription is 'kas' (cup, bowl) or 'kasa', a royal meal. This section concerns the preparation of samosas and 'las' '('meat stew). Ghiyath Shahi is enthroned, wearing a crown and attended by four servants. Opaque watercolour. Sultanate style. Image taken from The Ni'matnama-i Nasir al-Din Shah. A manuscript on Indian cookery and the preparation of sweetmeats, spices etc. Originally published/produced in 1495 - 1505.
