General Bosquet, French soldier, 1857. Pierre Francois Joseph Bosquet (1810-1861) was active in the French Algerian campaigns (1834-1852). In the Crimean War (1853-1856) he was at Alma, Inkerman and Sebastapol. He was created Marshal of France in 1856. Engraving from England's Battles by Sea and Land, Volume V, Russia and Turkey, (The London Printing and Publishing Company, 1857).
